About The Venture Lab Practicum (Pilot)
Practicum is a Joiner Pathway program that provides Penn students across all schools with an opportunity to gain hands-on experience by contributing to projects with early-stage ventures from our Venture Initiation Program Accelerator (VIP-X). Students apply and interview with founders, and if matched, commit approximately 7–10 hours per week over the course of the semester.
Practicum is a non-paid, educational fellowship focused on experiential learning, professional development, and exposure to startup environments. Projects are designed to serve as a bridge between classroom learning and real-world application, allowing students to learn and apply a wide array of skills, from project management and team collaboration to strategic thinking and problem-solving, in a practical setting.
