Venture Lab Membership
Tangen Hall is open to all Penn students with an active Penn card during our normal business hours, Monday-Friday from 7 am- 9 pm, excluding holidays and during suspension of normal operations.

*Certain restrictions apply

By applying to the Venture Lab membership, students who have an interest in entrepreneurship & innovation gain extended after-hour access and exclusive access to limited resources such as the Fabrication studio.

To be eligible to apply, an applicant must be a currently enrolled student at Penn with a valid PennKey.

Membership Levels Access

Non-Members (All Students)
  • Business Hours Access to floors 1, 2, 4, 7 Monday-Friday 7 AM -9 PM
  • Limited access to Floor 3's open space (7 AM - 5 PM)
Level 2
  • Business Hours Access to floors 1, 2, 4, 7 Monday - Friday 7 AM - 9 PM
  • Limited access to Floor 3's open space (7 AM - 5 PM)

Plus
  • After-hour access to floors 1, 2, 4, 7 Monday - Friday 9 PM - 2 AM
  • Access to GSR on Floors 1, 2, 7
  • Printer Access on Floor 2
  • Access to Pods on Floors 2, 7
Level 3 (Programmatic Invite Only)
  • Business Hours Access to floors 1, 2, 4, 7 Monday - Friday 7 AM - 9 PM
  • After-hour access to floors 1, 2, 4, 7 Monday - Friday 9 PM - 2 AM

Plus
  • Full Access to floor 3 (7 AM - 2 AM) & Weekends
  • Access to all GSRs on floor 1,2,3,7
  • Printer access on floor 2, 3
  • Access to Pods on floors 2, 7

The Studios @ Venture Labs are a collection of workspaces and labs that house digital and analog fabrication technologies that empower the Penn community to make their ideas a reality.

  • Access to the Canvas site for The Studios @ Venture Lab for:

    • Laser Cutter Training
