Shaz has a wealth of experience running companies and businesses such as Gymboree, Lucy Activewear, Nike and working with brands like Staples, Carters, Sephora, Tiffany, Levi Strauss, Macy's, Quaker Oats, Kraft, and P&G. As the first female to hold a global business P&L at Nike, Shaz led a turnaround of the Nike Cycling business making it profitable for the first time in history. As CEO of Lucy Activewear, Shaz and her team reinvented the company and achieved profitability in 13 months, nearly two years ahead of corporate expectations. She has served on the boards of children’s apparel retailer Gymboree and OMSignal, a smart apparel company.

Matt Stephenson is the CEO and Co-Founder of Code2College (www.code2college.org), an Austin-based nonprofit that equips traditionally underrepresented high school students with coding and professional skills towards entering and excelling STEM undergraduate majors and fields. In Fall 2016, Code2College launched as a pilot in two schools serving 30 students. Nearly seven years later, Code2College has served 3,000 minority and low-income high school students from across Central Texas. Code2College has continued to place students into highly competitive, technical internships at companies like Indeed and RetailMeNot.

Matt started his career in K12 education as a high school math teacher, and later a Leadership Fellow, at Achievement First in New Haven, CT. Next, he joined NewSchools Venture Fund as an Associate Partner and venture investor in high-performing education organization. He then joined KIPP Austin Public Schools, a public school district serving nearly 5,000 students across nine schools and two campuses, to serve as Director of Finance and also provide assistance to the Talent Recruitment team. Prior to his career in K-12 education, Matt was a Financial Analyst at Goldman Sachs as well as an Internship Program Manager for Sponsors for Educational Opportunity (SEO), where he was able to help 93% of the interns in his cohort to receive full-time job offers from their host firms. Matt holds an MBA in Entrepreneurial Management from The Wharton School and a BS in Finance and Information Systems from the Stern School of Business at New York University.

This workshop will cover the fundamentals of impact evaluation, with an emphasis on their use in social enterprises. The session will provide an overview of the industry leading tools and measurement strategies to evaluate impact. Join us to practice crafting key performance indicators, KPIs, to ensure meaningful impact at some of Penn's most innovative social enterprises.

Keith Kohler is the Founder of The K2 Group LLC, a finance consultancy. Keith has worked with and impacted hundreds of companies with financing and financing education. Over the past few years, he has originated and closed over $100 million in financing, with a particular focus on the natural products and food and beverage industries. He supports founders via several other roles, including as a mentor of the Nutrition Capital Network, a Year 6 Mastermind Advisor for Babson College’s Women’s Innovating Now Growth Lab, a Wharton Venture Lab Expert in Residence and Mentor, and as the Finance instructor for The Idea Center at Miami-Dade College. Keith has also led financing webinars for the Specialty Food Association, Hirshberg Entrepreneurship Institute, and has also been the featured expert on all aspects of debt financing for 15 years for the Natural Products Consulting’s “Financing Your Consumer Products Company” in-person seminars.

Under his Financing Man brand, Keith launched a new retreat and mastermind-based business to help founders get comfortable with and master the finance function in their business called Making the Numbers Work for You. Paul Sethi is co-founder and Managing Partner of Trajectory Capital Partners, a hybrid VC/PE fund, focused on minority and control investments in venture-stage and corporate divestitures. He is also Managing Partner of 3SE Holdings, focused on fund investments in the Web3 sector; and Venture Partner of Punja Global, focused on AI/Web3 early-stage investments. In 2019, Paul co-founded 2048 Ventures, a pre-seed tech venture fund, where he is Managing Partner of the inaugural fund.

From 2010 to 2018, Paul was CEO of Redbooks, a leading sales intelligence platform focused on the marketing and advertising industry, used by thousands of professionals globally, where he scaled the team, tech and product offerings and sold the company to a PE platform for 10x+ return. In 2014, he co-founded Robuzz, an AI/NLP platform providing real-time alerts, and deployed the technology via APIs into marketing and information services enterprises, and sold the company in 2022. Earlier in his career, Paul was a Partner/Analyst in public equities, focused on the tech sector.

He is early investor in 50+ companies with 8 unicorns, including Flexport, SeatGeek and Notion, and in companies acquired by Airbnb, Amazon, Blackstone, Facebook, Motorola, Pinterest, Twitter and Uber. He is also limited partner of many venture funds, including Union Square Ventures, Lowercase Capital, Lowercarbon Capital, Boldstart Ventures, Eniac Ventures, Multicoin Capital and CoinFund.

Paul received honors degrees from both Columbia and UPenn (Wharton). He also serves as mentor to Techstars and ERA programs and an advisor to OpenFortune and Transfix.

Paul attended the Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania for undergrad and has an MBA from Columbia Business School.

Ashmeet is the Founder and Chief Engineer of Engineering Capital.

Investing before traditional venture firms, Engineering Capital specializes in leading seed rounds in software companies with a technical insight. Ashmeets experience includes running venture capital funds and leadership positions helping build the industry leading products VMware ESX Server and Silicon Graphics WebFORCE.

Ashmeet came into venture from VMware, where he ran product management for their flagship product - ESX Server. His successful investments include Azure (IPO NYSE: AZRE) and SignalFx, acquired by Splunk for $1 billion, Tubi.tv (acq: FOX). He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Evinced, Kognitos and Nexla. His additional active investments include Asimily, Kentik, Menlo Security, Robust Intelligence, vFunction, and YotaScale – in all of which he was the seed investor.

Ashmeet received an MBA from Wharton with Honors, MS in Computer Science from Stanford University, and a BS in Computer Science summa cum laude from USC. In his spare-time he can be found planning his second trip to Mt. Everest.

Arina represents startups and emerging growth companies, often acting as their outside general counsel and building long-lasting relationships that span the life of a company. Her services in this area include, but are not limited to, entity formation, advice and counseling regarding operations in the United States, employment law and IP-related matters, structuring complex joint ventures and distribution agreements, and investment and exit opportunities. Further, Arina represents her clients when they are raising capital through SAFE, convertible note, Series Seed, Series A financings, and equity crowdfunding.

An important focus of Arina's work is representing fintech startups, including those companies that operate in the blockchain space (including NFT platforms, DAOs, gaming companies, and others). For her crypto clients, she advises on the regulatory aspects of operations, issuance of digital tokens, NFTs, creation of platforms, and other aspects of operations in the Web3 space.

She also advises angel investors and venture capital funds when making investments into startups. In addition, Arina represents emerging fund managers on fund formation and setting up management and GP company structures, whether they are in the venture capital, hedge fund, or real estate fund space, including special purpose investment vehicles and Delaware series LLCs.
