About Venture Lab
Venture Lab is a resource for any Penn student who is interested in entrepreneurship and innovation. We maximize the ability of our students and alumni to address important challenges through entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial thinking.
Our Mission
Ignited by great ideas, our faculty, students, and alumni turn innovative concepts into scalable and sustainable businesses, and bring entrepreneurial development to existing companies eager for change. In a world hungry for productive innovation, our disciplined approach challenges concepts, focuses ideas, and provides the know-how to turn fledgling businesses into strong, enduring organizations.
Our Impact
Like so much else at the University of Pennsylvania, Venture Lab has a proud history. The Wharton School was the first to develop a fully integrated curriculum of entrepreneurial studies, in 1973. The Sol C. Snider Entrepreneurial Research Center was the first Center dedicated to the study of entrepreneurship.

Today, Wharton boasts one of the largest entrepreneurial teaching programs, the Goergen Entrepreneurial Management Program, offering more than 30 courses across seven disciplines to thousands of students and entrepreneurs each year. New active learning environments bring entrepreneurship to life in the classroom. Our faculty and students study entrepreneurship around the world.
