Our Programs
Our flagship program, the Venture Initiation Program (VIP), offers a suite of programs for founders, joiners, and navigators that are designed to engage and empower entrepreneurial teams through the startup journey — ideation through launch.
VIP is open to all Penn students and operates year-round. The program provides a wealth of educational resources, live workshops, group coaching, and community events.

Our new Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition (ETA) program provides training, funding, and guidance to help interested students buy an established small to medium-sized company and operate, optimize, and grow it.
For rising Sophomores at the University of Pennsylvania who identify as first-generation, and/or lower-income (FGLI) with a summer immersion placement at one of the participating San Francisco/Bay Area-based venture capital firms.
Launched in 2022 to support the social enterprise and mission-driven venture ecosystem at Penn.
The program provides opportunities for students to meet with alumni founders, entrepreneurs, operators, subject matter experts, and other technical and industry experts in one-on-one or in small group AMA session formats.
Studios & Labs
The Digital Design Studio at Venture Lab will be a comprehensive, print and digital production hub that features educational support for students, staff, and faculty across the Penn community.
The Studios @ Venture Labs are a collection of workspaces and labs that house digital and analog fabrication technologies that empower the Penn community to make their ideas a reality.
The Food Innovation Lab is an 800-sq. ft. facility that supports a unique cohort of food and beverage startups at Penn.
Our Retail Lab is a flexible retail space to showcase successful alumni and student ventures, to inspire Penn students and provide active learning opportunities.
