At the Food Innovation Lab, we're passionate about fostering creativity and innovation within the food industry.The 800-square-foot facility is a dynamic hub that provides invaluable resources to Penn student food entrepreneurs and a structured pathway to explore food entrepreneurship, whether the student is developing a food product, creating a restraurant concept, or addressing challenges in the food industry.

The kitchen is designed for experimentation, recipe development, and testing, and not for producing products at scale or for sale.

In this session, you’ll learn how to approach food R&D in a structured, creative way. We'll go through practical, actionable steps you can go through to move past ideation and begin to create a physical product.

Whether you're interested in packaged foods, restaurant ideas, or broader innovations involving food, this workshop will help you understand how to use the Food Lab as your R&D space.
