Doug is the Founder & CEO of ChargeItSpot, a Philadelphia-based company building unrivaled solutions that solve problems in mobile device security, charging, and management. Since its founding in 2012, ChargeItSpot has established partnerships with Target, Nordstrom, Under Armour, Bloomingdales, Gap, Westfield Malls, Penn Medicine, UPMC, and others. Now, Doug is leading the company into the Mobile Device Management space with a premier enterprise device management technology: ARC™.
Before starting ChargeItSpot, Doug was an executive at The NewsMarket, a digital marketing firm backed by Apax Partners, Softbank Capital, and Battery Ventures. At The NewsMarket, Douglas served as Director of Business Development in London, selling to Global 500 companies across Europe. While based in Beijing, he served as Director of the company’s Asia-Pacific division before, during, and after the 2008 Olympics. Douglas served as Chief of Staff to the CEO & Founder of The NewsMarket and also has experience working at Amazon and Interbrand.
Doug now serves as inaugural Entrepreneur in Residence at Venture Lab. The newly-established position is a long-term engagement with the center to provide workshops, office hours, and advising/mentoring to support early-stage student and alumni ventures in the Venture Initiation Program.
Doug holds an MBA from The Wharton School and a BBA in Marketing & Finance from Emory University’s Goizueta School of Business.
