Strategies to Pitch and Evaluate Femtech, Retail, and Gender-Focused Products and Services
Femtech is currently expected to grow to $103 billion by 2030. Established retailers are increasingly offering gender-expansive garments as part of their product lines to generate revenue from a growing non-binary market. The menstrual hygeine market is expected to experience a year-on-year growth rate of almost 5%.

So why is it so difficult for founders of companies offering these gender-focused products and services to fundraise?

Join Venture Lab for a virtual panel discussion via Zoom on October 2nd from 5:00pm - 6:30pm ET to learn tactical strategies that will inform your approach to ensuring an accessible pitch and equitable consideration of gender-focused products and services.

This session would be relevant for students who are:
  1. founders or joiners of a venture wherein the product or service can be interpreted as ‘gender-focused’, and/or who feel ill-equipped to pitch their ideas to investors who may not understand their market or identify as part of their target end-user.
  2. investors who are looking for avenues to educate themselves in relation to evaluating ‘gender-focused’ products and services.

This Session will support students to hone their pitches for the Breaking the Bias Pitch Competition, an in-person pitch competition taking place on October 9th from 5pm - 7pm. Attendees of the panel will be given priority registration to pitch at the conclusion of the panel session.

Registration to attend the Breaking the Bias Pitch Competition as an audience member will open September 5th.

**Note: This event is only open to current Penn students in a degree-seeking program.**
