Mark Kingdon (WG '88) is an early-stage investor in 30+ consumer internet companies. Some of his successes include Twitter, Offerup, TheRealReal, and HomeLight. Mark is a top-performing angel investor, with $34B in value creation across his portfolio. Four companies have achieved $1B+ valuations, six $100M+ valuations, 8% went on to raise additional capital. The portfolio has produced a 16x return to date.
Mark is currently a Trustee of New World Symphony and Board Chair of the Miami Angels (a group of 150 angel investors focused on investing in Miami start-ups).
Previously, Mark was the CEO of Second Life (the metaverse pioneer) and Organic, Inc. (the digital advertising firm that placed the first banner ad in internet history). Mark's first job out of business school was at PwC where he became the youngest consulting partner in the firm's history, focused on strategy consulting. He later ran the Retail and Distribution Industries Consulting Practice for the Americas.
Mark received a BA in Economics at UCLA and an MBA in Marketing and Management at Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania.
