Justin Kowalchuk foundedMedBridge, Inc., an industry-leading healthcare education and technology firm that elevates clinical outcomes and accessibility of care to millions of patients nationwide. Justin began MedBridge in 2009 and bootstrapped the organization until 2018 when he partnered with a Philadelphia-based Private Equity firm to expand the business reach. During his tenure as CEO, MedBridge grew from an idea to now being deployed at over 2,000 healthcare organizations. In 2022, after 13 years of growing the business, Justin stepped down as CEO to focus on family, a non-profit initiative as well as to support other entrepreneurs on their own path.
Justin began his career post-undergraduate at a technology startup, Treasury Services Corporation, which provided banking institutions detailed, stochastic risk modeling. With an interest to live abroad, Justin relocated to Tokyo to expand the firms global footprint. While in Japan, the company was acquired by Oracle Corporation and became the centerpiece of Oracles Financial Services Application division. Oracle deployed Justin to multiple countries within Asia to support large scale implementations.
Subsequent to Oracle, Justin moved to Merrill Lynch Japan to join as the second member of the newly-formed Structured Finance team, supporting companies on effective collateralization of assets to fund operations. He then joined Dresdner Kleinwort Japan to head their Online Markets Division. While at Dresdner, Justin worked in Capital Markets in multiple roles. He currently supports multiple startups as an Advisor or Board Member.
Justin speaks Japanese and obtained his M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 2005. Born in Canada, Justin grew up in the United States and lives with his wife and daughter, splitting their time between Seattle and Scottsdale.
